September 2010
“And this I pray, that
your love may abound still more and more in real
knowledge and all discernment”. Phil. 1:9
Week 1: September 1 – 7
■ We thank God for a
smooth start to the new school year at Mission
Possible’s Ebenezer School in the Dominican Republic and
pray for His blessing throughout the year.
■ Stephanie, Ruth Sam’s
12 year old niece, will be having heart surgery this
month. Please pray for God’s protection upon
Stephanie’s life and wisdom for the doctors.
Week 2: September 8 – 14
■ Luisa Garcia, a member
of Ebenezer Church in the Dominican Republic, has been
dealing with throat problems for more than a year. She
loves to sing, but is unable to sing as she used to. We
pray for God’s healing touch upon her throat.
■ Many Mission Possible
partners have been facing some difficult times - some
are suffering from an illness, loneliness and/or
increased pressure on their income. Let’s pray for
God’s peace, healing and provision in each of these
situations.
Week 3:
September 15 – 21
■ Richard Sam, Moise
Sam’s nephew, is feeling much better. Though he hasn’t
given his life to Jesus yet, his attitude toward God and
spiritual things has improved. We pray and trust God
will complete the work He has begun in Richard’s life.
■ Please pray for the
students and teachers in Haiti who are off for the month
of September. May they feel rested and ready for a new
school year in October.
Week 4: September 22 – 30
■ The delinquency,
violence and drug related crimes have increased in the
Dominican Republic. We ask God for His protection and
security upon His children in the Dominican Republic.
■ Mission Possible has 2
shipping containers with resources to construct and
equip a medical clinic and supplies for the vocational
school, along with other helpful items, being held up in
the port by customs and incurring daily storage fees.
Please pray for a quick and easy release of these
containers. |
