Just this morning I heard another story of how a mission trip changed lives.
We North Americans like to think we are the change agents. We believe we have the solutions and the access to the knowledge, skills, money and resources to enact those solutions. Many times we go from a position of power to help those in need. We are the Calvary riding in the save the day.
The story I heard was just the opposite. It was the North Americans who were changed. It was the North Americans whose mission trip intersected with God’s movement in their lives. We are the needy and God is the one with power.
Come on a trip. Yes, you will help those in need. Yes, you will experience another culture and a people who love God as we do. Yes, God will change you in the process.
