Change can be hard sometimes. We like our routines, our habits, and we like them because they are comfortable. For the last eleven years, Kurt Bishop has served Mission Possible extremely well. He has strengthened countless areas and grown Mission Possible to the great organization that it is today. Assembling a great, hardworking, passionate staff, Kurt has shown great leadership and done so as a true servant. Even though Kurt will be stepping down as President of Mission Possible, he is not going far. He will continue to serve MP in varies capacities. He is excited to see what the future holds for Mission Possible and his family. We want to thank Kurt for his years of faithful service to Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
My name is David Rath. I have the honor of trying to fill Kurt’s shoes as president of Mission Possible. I have been in ministry for 21 years and am excited to take the reins. I look forward to getting to know as many of you as I can and hearing the stories of how MP has impacted your lives. It is an honor and a privilege to be working and serving alongside you.
Prayers would be appreciated as we transition here in the home office, but rest assured that ministry is happening. Students are being taught, being fed, being seen by medical teams, learning about Jesus, and Christ-centered leaders are being developed. Change is hard, but we lean on the one who never changes – Christ!
Thank you so much for your faithful giving, relentless prayers and your heart for the Island of Hispaniola.
