At the beginning of this year, I talked to Moise, our field leader in the Dominican Republic, about a way to show our appreciation to our teachers in the DR. Over the past two years, our teachers have gone above and beyond the norm to make sure our students received a solid education through the pandemic. When school was shut down, they recorded video lessons, sent and received assignments through WhatsApp, and visited homes of those students without internet access. They worked extra hours because they care about their students and they never asked for anything in return.

Recently, we sent a small team to the DR and were able to honor our teachers during a school assembly where each teacher received a Certificate of Recognition for going the extra mile during the pandemic. The event was a celebration of these individuals who show Jesus’ love through all they do for their students. Moise made the event a festive one and students were given questions to guess the teacher being honored. The students were so excited to cheer and yell for their teachers. At Mission Possible we are truly honored to work alongside individuals who love Jesus and desire to share his love through their dedication and interaction with their students. They are helping equip the next generation of Christ-centered leaders.
