Just the other day I had a friend ask, “How’s it going in Haiti?” I paused, thought, and after a few, long seconds answered, “Good!” My day-to-day activities here at the Mission Possible USA office deal with issues and functions supporting our leadership in Haiti and the DR. The hesitation in answering my friend came from my lack of day-to-day involvement in the details of the ministries. AND THAT IS A GOOD THING!
The efforts put into leadership training, teacher and administration training, health services to our students, and mission teams supporting our national leaders have taken Mission Possible ministries to new places. The fruit of these efforts is being realized. I hope my friend understood my slight hesitation in answering his question. My hesitation is a positive result of better leadership, more training, and improved national involvement on both sides of the island of Hispaniola.
