This report comes from Emily Miller, a nursing student from Findlay Ohio who traveled to Haiti in May with a team to treat our Mission Possible school students. Emily is pictured here with Naika, her sponsored student.
“I think one thing that was big for me in this trip was getting to use my nursing skills. I had been struggling with school this past year and was not enjoying nursing. So I prayed a lot about this trip and that the Lord would renew my love for nursing. And he did! I was able to care for people that needed it most and give them hope. I also loved how Mission Possible works to educate, not just a one quick fix. For example, the blood pressure clinic that is set up. They are teaching MP staff and families about controlling their blood pressure and about medication compliance. I appreciate MP’s holistic approach to caring for the people of Haiti. Church was also great, not only was our team of people from all over the states and Canada but then we got to worship with the Haitian church. It was a great picture of the body of Christ!”
Emily’s experience reminds us how God uses our skills and gifts to bless others, while we are also blessed in the process. Thank you for your partnership that helps us bless others.
